Following the UK’s introduction of lockdown procedures in the fight against Covid-19, self-isolating Brits are turning to new pleasures in droves in order to occupy the increased time spent at home.

Analysis from leading discount site, VoucherCodes.co.uk reveals that there has been a 710% rise in searches for hobby deals and a whopping 571% increase in those browsing for offers in the ‘adult’ sector, since the government issued the measures instructing non-essential workers to stay at home.

With the UK seeking alternative ways to stay in touch with loved ones whilst self-isolating, card delivery searches have seen a 470% boom in searches – fuelled partly thanks to Mother’s Day last weekend.

With so many people adjusting to working from home, computer equipment searches have surged by 453%. There has been a 434% increase in those browsing home improvement deals – with many taking this uncertain period as an opportunity to get down to some DIY.

Predictably other searches that have seen the biggest boost include recipe boxes (403%), toys (358%), loungewear (320%) and supermarkets (299%).
