Adyen appoints former Burberry director to spearhead expansion in Manchester

Adyen, the payments platform of choice for the world’s leading companies, today announced the appointment of Colin Neil as senior vice president of business development in the UK and the opening of its new office in Manchester. Neil joins with more than nine years’ experience at luxury fashion house, Burberry, helping to create its industry-leading unified customer experience. He is charged with growing Adyen’s business in the North of the UK.

The expansion into Manchester comes off the back of a strong year of growth for Adyen in the UK, including key new clients Lush and Jack Wills. As home to some of the UK’s leading retailers and a hub for rapid growth technology companies, Manchester represents the perfect destination for Adyen’s expansion. Manchester is not just a premium shopping destination, it is the gateway for the North of the UK, which is undergoing a resurgence following significant investment from both government and enterprise. The region is home to national & regional headquarters for some of the biggest names in retail, technology and beyond.
