Renshaw, a leading manufacturer of cake coverings, fillings and toppings, is launching a range of branded consumer products.
The company, which has supplied the bakery trade for over 100 years, has invested £500,000 to develop the range and is introducing seven products next month. They will go on sale in major multiples and specialist sugar and craft stores over the coming months.
Targeted at the home baker in mind, the products are designed to transform the most basic cake into a professional masterpiece and have been created in response to the increasing popularity for homebaking, with almost a third of consumers currently choosing it as their hobby of choice.
Sarah Summers, business unit director at Renshaw, said: “Renshaw has been a major player in UK food manufacturing for more than a century. Over the past two years we have invested significantly in the business, expanding the team, creating a comprehensive brand plan and clear channel focus and strengthening our innovation capabilities.
“The launch of this range of consumer products is the latest development in our long-term business plan.”
The launch will be supported by an integrated marketing campaign incorporating press, PR and social media activity.
Renshaw, which is part of the Real Good Food Company, was founded in Surrey in 1898 in Surrey as a producer of marzipan.
The business holds the official warrant to supply the Royal household with nut produce.
