Leading e-cigarette brand VAPESTICK has entered a nationwide agreement with the UK’s largest franchised off licence-led convenience chain, Bargain Booze and Wine Rack stores.
The agreement will see VAPESTICK – already stocked in the likes of Tesco, Harrods and Costco and thousands of independent retailers – supply Bargain Booze and Wine Rack with its full range of vaping products, including disposable and rechargeable e-cigarettes as well as a wide variety of refills.
The new supplier agreement follows increased consumer awareness and demand for VAPESTICK products, driven by an on going multi-million pound marketing campaign, including outdoor, print and radio advertising as well as an integrated PR and social media campaign.
The VAPESTICK range is now available from Bargain Booze and Wine Rack stores throughout the UK, making the brand more accessible to consumers, building significantly on the brand’s existing retail presence.
VAPESTICK was acquired by US public company, Victory Electronic Cigarettes Corporation in January this year, and has since been expanding its London-based operation, creating 60 new roles across head office, field sales, order fulfilment and distribution, in order to facilitate the rapid expansion and increased demand.
At the time of the announcement, Jason Minnery, buying director at Conviviality Retail, said: “The VAPESTICK brand has been on our radar for some time now, with increasing feedback that our customers are requesting VAPESTICK products. Their nationwide marketing campaign has been an effective trigger for us, and combined with the brand’s in-store promotional support, we are very excited to now offer and promote VAPESTICK products throughout the group. Our aim is to become a destination choice for consumers as they increasingly gravitate towards VAPESTICK, as one of their preferred brands.”
Co-founder at VAPESTICK and president-international at Victory, Michael Clapper, said: “Wine Rack and Bargain Booze are strategically crucial outlets for us, given their 600 stores located throughout the UK. Our aim for 2014 is to become the UK’s leading e-cigarette brand and feel this new relationship, along with the rapid expansion of our operation, will significantly help to propel the VAPESTICK brand forwards again. Brand loyalty and consumer’s awareness of VAPESTICK products is a key focus for us, so the further we can spread our stockist and distribution network, the more we will be able to strengthen our relationship with vapers for their on going supplies. We feel this tie-up will help to increase brand loyalty and also introduce our brand to an even wider base of UK e-cigarette users.”
