UK Point of Sale is calling on independent retailers across Britain to snap a photo of their celebratory window displays this summer to be in with a chance of winning an iPad, to show its support of the sector and Independent Retailer Month this July.
With the Jubilee, Wimbledon, Olympics and even England’s participation in Euro 2012 coming up it is set to be a big summer for Britain, said the company.
UK POS is encouraging retailers to capitalise on the excitement and design window displays themed to these events.
UK POS’s recent research into window displays found over half of consumers would be more likely to enter a shop with a ‘Made in Britain’ themed window.
Retailers can enter using Twitter or Facebook by uploading their photo on the UK POS Facebook page or by sending the photo directly to the UK POS Twitter page.
The Independent Retailers competition is open to retailers in the UK and Republic of Ireland classed as ‘independent’.
The closing date for the competition is 31 July 2012 and the winner will be announced in August 2012.
Jason Leslie, managing director of UK POS and Debra Jamieson, sales and marketing director at UK POS will choose the winner.
