BFree, one of Ireland’s most pioneering, health conscious bakery brands, this week unveils the launch of BFree Stone Baked Pitta Breads, a brand new offering to the UK market. The announcement comes as the brand looks to meet consumer needs for healthier foods and in particular the growing demand for a wider variety of free from products.
BFree has once again proven its expertise in the market, by perfectly capturing the taste of the traditional pitta, stone baked and made the correct way to ensure all the flavour of a regular pitta. Available in packs of four in Asda stores nationwide, the new BFree Stone Baked Pitta Breads have the brands regular free from ethos, with no added sugar, suitable for vegans, high in fibre and low in fat.
Along with the launch of BFree Stone Baked Pittas, BFree has also announced the launch of its popular BFree Quinoa & Chia Seed Wrap into Asda. First brought out in Ireland, these wraps highlight the current trend for superfoods. As 51%* of consumers chose ‘health’ as their top priority when picking baked goods, the BFree Quinoa & Chia Seed Wrap promotes good digestion and increased energy levels. At only 105 calories a wrap, they are ideal for those who lead a vegan diet or who are simply looking for a healthy alternative.
By using natural proteins and fibres from whole peas, apples and potatoes and a unique blend of buckwheat and corn flours to provide gluten-like pliability, BFree provides real taste with added nutrition.
Alex Murphy, general manager for BFree, said: “We are very excited to be extending our offering. We have seen a real need amongst our consumers for such products, 67% prefer the health promoting benefits of superfoods** in their diets. The Quinoa & Chia Seed Wrap, we feel, meets this need. The Pittas have been brought out after research into the foods consumers with allergens miss, pitta came out as one of the tops and we are delighted to be able to offer this. Our Stone Basked Pitta Breads are made the traditional way, baked on a piping hot stone, which gives them an authentic and delicious flavour and texture.
As well as the announcement of new products, BFree are also excited to announce a move into Sainsbury’s with its popular Multigrain Wraps and Fajita Kits. The new listing paves the way for further brand growth, as the free from brand continue to monopolise the market.
BFree Stone Baked Pitta Breads have an RRP of £2.25 for 4 and Quinoa and Chia Seed Wraps an RRP of £3.25, both will launch into Asda nationwide.
