Jack Wills, the British fashion and lifestyle brand, today announces the launch of its entrepreneurship campaign, which is a celebration of the success stories of Jack Wills Alumni, as the brand approaches its 18th birthday on 2 April 2017. Jack Wills will be catching up with Jack Wills Alumni (#JWAlumni), who started their careers with the company, and looking at what they have gone on to achieve.
Jack Wills is a brand that was built by entrepreneurs. What began as a small British start-up in Salcombe nearly 18 years ago, dreamt up by two enterprising friends who had just graduated from university, has since grown into an international brand with stores and customers all around the world. In the years since Peter Williams opened that first store in Devon in 1999, Jack Wills has seen many of its alumni develop into successful entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries, who have over the years all demonstrated their entrepreneurial talent and flair for making things happen.
Peter Williams, founder and CEO of Jack Wills, said: “Fostering future talent and entrepreneurial enthusiasm is incredibly important to us, especially as we reach the landmark of our 18th birthday. One of our key values has been to retain the entrepreneurial spirit, to encourage people to take risks and not to penalise them if it doesn’t work. Success is all about execution, perseverance and focus. The fact that Jack Wills Alumni have gone on to start some incredibly successful and innovative businesses is really unique – as a brand, we foster entrepreneurs. We have a ‘give it a go’ mentality and we ask ourselves, ‘what’s the worst that can happen?’ – in doing so, we empower people to take risks and be creative. They really respond to that working environment.”
To kick off the new campaign, Peter Williams will be speaking at the Entrepreneurial Exchange this evening. The Entrepreneurs Exchange is a networking forum for entrepreneurs looking to grow their business and receive insight and experience from some of the UK’s leading entrepreneurs.
