Twenga: car part searches increase

Online shopping platform, Twenga, reports five types of car spare parts are among this week’s top 100 most searched-for items.

Twenga, which claims to have the biggest choice online, said the results showed UK consumers are trying to reduce their motoring costs by carrying out repairs themselves.

With soaring petrol prices, searches for exhaust pipes have seen a significant rise by 109% this week, Twenga said. Searches for headlights and gearboxes followed, +83% and 63% respectively.

Lambda sensors and wing mirrors have gained popularity as well, registering an increase in visits by 35% and 23% respectively.
