The UK’s largest distributor of personalised chocolates has launched an innovative new product to the promotional confectionery market.
Whitakers Chocolates unveiled the ‘Colourbar’ for the first time at the Independent Hotel Show at London’s Olympia in October.
The Yorkshire-based chocolate supplier is now taking orders from hoteliers, restaurateurs, caterers, retailers and leisure outlets for the 85g bars of chocolate complete with photography of their choice.
Managing director of Whitakers Chocolates, William Whitaker, explains: “We have been producing personalised chocolates for over 15 years but we’ve only recently developed the technology to allow companies to have their personalised full-colour illustrations, graphics or photography on chocolate bar wrappers which opens up a whole range of possibilities.
“For example, hotels – one of our main customer bases – can have photographic images of the premises or team on their complimentary products rather than the traditional logo.
“We’re expecting this line to be particularly popular with establishments that are committed to providing a high-quality and personal service to customers.”
Colourbars are being launched in milk chocolate and will be available in dark chocolate early 2018. Minimum orders are from 100 units with discounts available for larger orders and all can be turned around in seven working days from artwork approval.
Whitaker added: “We’ve been the UK market leaders in personalised chocolates for many years and we’re now transforming that landscape with this exciting development. It will open up a whole new world of opportunities for customers to promote their business through complimentary and re-sale chocolate bars, which are bespoke to their business.
“We’re taking personalisation to the next level and are excited about this new direction, which is just the start of a new era for Whitakers Chocolates. In early 2018 we will be using the same technology on small boxes of chocolates”
From its Skipton headquarters, Whitakers Chocolates supplies 10 million chocolates a week to hotels, restaurants and retailers across the world.
