To encourage shoppers to try these products, the Co-operative is offering 25% or more off the range (from 25 May until 14 June 2011 inclusive).
New and limited-edition quiches are also being launched on 4 May, including a Truly Irresistible Greek Feta & Spinach Olive quiche and a Ham & Asparagus quiche.
The Co-operative’s chilled yogurt and desserts and paté ranges have been given a facelift, with new products introduced, said to be ideal for summer eating.
The retailer is also running a Wine Festival featuring half-price promotions such as Firetail Shiraz-Grenache, Semillion-Sauvignon and Shiraz-Cabernet Rosé retailing at £3.99 each (reduced from £7.99 from 11 May to 31 May inclusive).
The Co-operative’s seasonal product range, Taste the Seasons, is being extended too. It will feature British fruit – plums, cherries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries – for the first time; plus seasonal vegetables such as lettuce and asparagus.
Further additions to the range include Taste the Seasons Chicken & Tomato Salad, Pea & Mint Soup, Pea & Ham Quiche, Summer Fruit Pie and Lemon Meringue Muffins.
The Co-operative also has Wimbledon in its sights with a range of new products and promotions.
Key lines include Truly Irresistible Ava Strawberries and half-price British raspberries and British blackberries, which are also included in an ‘any 3 for £5.00’ promotion.
Charles de Cazanove Champagne will retail at £14.99 (down from £29.99) and there’s also money off The Co-operative’s Fairtrade fizz. Pimm’s No. 1 will also be on promotion at £10 (down from £15.45).
The Co-operative also promises great deals on its Truly Irresistible Raspberry Coulis, Chocolate Sauce and Meringue Nests, said to be ideal for making into a dessert topped with British berries and whipped fresh cream.
For a ready-made treat, there are two new cakes from the Truly Irresistible range: Strawberry & Champagne Triple Layer Cake and Sicilian Lemon Curd & Belgian White Chocolate Triple Layer Cake.
