The Co-operative is launching a series of online Christmas cookery demonstrations to help its customers serve up a festive feast.
The retailer has teamed up with chef Mark Earnden to help bring a selection of festive recipes to life, including a salmon starter and a turkey main. The “Cook With Us” demonstrations will be available on The Co-operative’s membership web site from 7 December 2010.
To help customers plan in advance and get all the ingredients together, the recipes have already been loaded onto the web site, which offers participants the chance of winning £100 in Co-operative shopping vouchers by sending in a picture of their finished dish.
Recipes include a smoked salmon bruschetta starter, roast turkey with a twist, a vegetarian chestnut & sweet potato nut roast, mini Champagne Christmas puddings and a turkey and mango curry to help customers use up festive leftovers to minimise food waste.
The site also features wine recommendations to accompany each of the dishes.
Mark Earnden, who has been The Co-operative Food’s ‘community chef’ since 2004, brings cooking to life with lively demonstrations.
