Coast to Coast, Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Pizza Express are taking sites in Bracknell town centre as part of the Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP), a 50:50 Joint Venture between Legal & General Property and Schroder Property.
Coast to Coast, the chain of authentic American restaurants and bars, has taken a 6,405sq ft unit on a 25-year lease. Gourmet Burger Kitchen, which has a reputation for using fresh ingredients to create classic and innovative burger combinations, has taken a 3,066sq ft unit on a 20-year lease. Finally, international pizza restaurant chain, Pizza Express, has taken a 3,170sq ft unit on a 15-year lease.
As the latest lettings that BRP has secured for the redevelopment of Bracknell’s town centre, they follow the most recent announcements that Zizzi will be taking a 3,300sq ft building on a 15-year lease and that Nando’s is taking a 6,000sq ft unit on a 20-year lease. Other lettings announcements have included Marks & Spencer’s pre-let on an 80,000sq ft store, Cineworld agreeing to take a 12-screen, 41,500sq ft cinema and H&M securing a pre-let on a 26,000sq ft retail unit.
Neil Crawford, retail development manager at Legal & General Property, said: “These three latest pre-lets make a welcome addition to the excellent portfolio of quality restaurants that are already signed to come to the new town centre. Furthermore, demonstrating the continuing momentum that is gathering in the Bracknell Regeneration programme we expect that they will encourage other major national operators that have not previously been represented to seek space in the town centre.”
Ian Mason, fund manager at Schroders, said: “The Bracknell regeneration programme continues to make strong progress in attracting a high quality, vibrant and diverse mix of family orientated restaurant operators to meet the needs of visitors to Bracknell. We are confident that bringing these three popular brands to the town will not only complement and extend the range of restaurants on offer, but will help in turning Bracknell into a ‘best in class’ shopping and leisure destination.”
