Crazy Jack launches ready to eat apricot snack packs

Organic pioneer, Community Foods, is launching new, snack sized packs of ready to eat soft apricots within its Crazy Jack brand this month.

The new 40g bags of Organic apricots have already gained listings in Ocado and the independent trade. Containing approximately six apricots, the snack pack offers consumers two of their five a day and, at just 70kcal, fits well within Government guidelines to eat low calorie snacks.

Produced just as nature intended, Crazy Jack apricots are a rich brown colour rather than the more usual orange, as they do not contain the preservative, sulphur dioxide, or any artificial additives. Comprising naturally occurring sugars and with no added sugar, the apricots have a low GI rating. They are also suitable for Gluten-Free, Vegetarian and Vegan diets.

Tracy Kane, Community Foods brands director comments: “Almost two thirds of consumers buy snacks as part of their weekly grocery shop¹ and, with the continuing growth of organic food,² we believe that our new Crazy Jack packs will appeal to the increasing number of consumers looking for healthier snacks. The apricots’ natural sugars and lower GI make them a good solution for consumers craving sweet but healthier treats.

“The launch of the snack packs comes in a landmark year for us, as Crazy Jack celebrates twenty years of providing consumers with food grown only as nature intended.”

Community Foods is supporting the launch of Crazy Jack snack packs with a digital marketing, PR and events campaign, including sponsoring the inaugural Go Organic Festival in London in September.
