Dairy Farm, a leading pan-Asian retailer, appoints This Place


This Place, one of the fastest growing award-winning digital design and user experience agencies, is today officially announcing its new Hong Kong office. With headquarters in London and offices in Seattle and Tokyo, the addition of a Hong Kong branch will help propel This Place’s growth and presence in Asia as well as support the agency’s expanding client base from one of the largest innovation hubs in the region. 

The expansion also marks the signing of Dairy Farm, a leading pan-Asian retailer. The group operates over 7,400 outlets under well-known brands, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, health and beauty stores, and home furnishings stores. This Place will be assisting Dairy Farm in defining and executing against their digital agenda.

This Place helps global brands reimagine their customer experience and build products and services for the digital economy. Founded in London in 2012, the agency counts brands like T-Mobile USA, Ahold Delhaize, and Woolworths Australia among its clients. As part of its business offering, This Place helps its clients craft strategies to address today’s business challenges and define tomorrow’s vision, and with the expansion to Hong Kong, the agency will be bringing its strategic approach to digital experience and design to East Asia. 

The Hong Kong branch will be led by Andy McGinn, COO, who joined This Place in 2016 and founded the Strategic arm of the business. Andy is one of the leading experts in global retail and omni-channel strategy, and has advised some of the world’s largest retailers, brands and customer service providers across a wide range of business and technology challenges. His strategic insight and experience in digital transformation will be instrumental in making This Place Hong Kong a success as well as leading on the work with Dairy Farm.
