Capreon, the Noé Group real estate business, has today announced that Deichmann, Europe’s largest independent shoe retailer, has agreed a new 10-year lease at Bon Accord, the popular shopping centre in the heart of Aberdeen.
Deichmann will be opening the flagship store in Aberdeen. This new 6,588sq ft unit will be in St Nicholas Mall, a prime location in the Bon Accord Centre.
The agreement of a 10-year lease within the Bon Accord centre follows recent lettings to Subway and Elegance Hair and Beauty. Securing three new stores at Bon Accord within the first quarter of 2019 reflects the popularity of the centre. Bon Accord draws shoppers from across Aberdeen and is outperforming the customer footfall average both for the city by 5% and for the UK by 3%.
Caroline Bridge, senior asset manager at Capreon, said: “The strength of Bon Accord continues to be reflected by the addition of a top new retailer and we are pleased that Deichmann has followed Subway and Elegance in making a long-term commitment to the centre. Deichmann is a well-known European retailer and further heightens Bon Accord’s diverse mix of tenants.”
Deichmann will be joining other top fashion retailers in the centre including Next, Topshop, River Island, New Look, Kurt Geiger, Jigsaw, Hobbs and Karen Millen.
Mark Cunningham, property manager at Deichmann, said: “We are excited to be opening our new store at Bon Accord. With the centre’s strong footfall and emphasis on customer experience, we look forward to establishing our presence in Bon Accord.”
