Innovate: expertise in transforming catering facilities

Design company Innovate Construction and Design Services has launched a new business division to provide construction design and building services (CDB) to any business requiring the development of a new food retailing environment.

The service includes new-build development, complete refurbishment or a simple refresh; through to sourcing furnishings, electronic point of sale systems, signage and other required equipment.

Innovate has over five years’ of experience within retail shops, cafes, bakeries, public houses, coffee shops, VIP lounges, restaurants, schools and colleges.

According to the company, it has created the new division to offer a fully bespoke service to any organisation looking for help with the design and construction of a modern catering or retail environment.

Derick Martin, CEO of Innovate Services, said: “The new Construction Design and Build division is a natural extension to Innovate’s existing services.

“We already provide this as part of our complete education catering offering and have already successfully transformed over 65 schools and colleges catering facilities, as well as taken over the subsequent management. Now, with this new division, we offer an end-to-end design and build service not only to schools, but also to private businesses, retailers, cafes, hospitals or restaurants that are looking to partner with a firm that can create a vibrant catering environment, as well as utilise our buying power to procure fixtures and fittings.”

Innovate said its CDB service caters for companies with a wide range of needs, from those looking for the management of a complete new-build project, through to those simply looking to source new internal or external furnishings, EPOS systems, lighting, flooring, solar panels, partitions, mezzanine floors, suspended ceilings, external canopies and seating, signage or catering equipment.  Bespoke stainless steel fabrication is also available, in addition to contract cleaning services.

Sarah Barnard, director of concept and inovation for Innovate Services, said: “The benefit of working with Innovate is the extensive experience we have in concept design, planning and construction, combined with the knowledge we have gained in operating over 65 catering facilities. We offer a 360° view on your current catering environment, taking in to account each specific requirement and a bespoke re-design, using our trusted construction contractors. Of the catering environments we have installed to date, all have been completed in time and within budget.”

Innovate said its CDB service is focused on health, safety and quality standards and, as a result, is a CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) accredited firm; in addition to being registered with the NICEIC, which is the electrical contracting industry’s independent voluntary body in the UK.
