Essex-based crisp producer, Fairfields Farm, has launched a brand new travel snack pack, ‘Fairfields To Go’, and has already bagged a deal with Finnair.
Fairfields To Go is a brand new snacking concept that will allow airlines, pubs, retailers and trains to offer its hand-cooked crisps on the go in a small and compact format.
Finnair, which flies to over 100 destinations worldwide, will be the first airline to stock Fairfields To Go as it launches it on its planes from the spring.
The new ‘Fairfields To Go’ range is available on all the Fairfields Farm snack brands – Tortillas, Lentil Bites and its award-winning hand-cooked crisps – and will offer an incredibly space-efficient and stackable option for the travel and retail sector. The range features a cardboard box design with a plastic-wrapped, 40g bag of crisps inside. The box can be quickly opened and the crisps poured in for easy portability and sharing.
“With the launch of Fairfields to Go we’ve really honed in on what airlines and travel operators need from their snacks. We’ve considered stackability and size to ensure space-efficiency,” explains Robert Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm. We are very excited to launch these products. We feel that airlines in particular will see the advantage of them as they can hold 25% more of our boxes in their atlas trolleys than any other brand, whilst retailers can stack them up on the shelf and merchandise more boxes than they could bags of crisps.
“We anticipate a lot of interest from all areas of the market and this deal with Finnair is a fantastic start for the new brand.”
The new Fairfields to Go range contains a 40g bag of crisps in a cardboard container. RRP £1.20-£2.00. For more information visit www.fairfieldsfarmcrisps.co.uk
