Fields, Morris & Verdin (FMV) is delighted to announce the addition of Norfolk-based Flint Vineyard to its producer portfolio.
Flint Vineyard was founded in 2015 by husband and wife team Ben and Hannah Witchell, together with Adrian Hipwell. The site was selected as one of the driest and sunniest regions in England. Located in South Norfolk, overlooking the villages of Earsham and Bungay, the south-east facing vines are planted on free-draining gravel and flint soil.
Hannah comments: “Working with FMV – part of the Berry Bros. & Rudd business represents an incredible opportunity for us. Back in 2009 we trusted Berry Bros. & Rudd with our wedding gift list and we could never have imagined that ten years later, they would be listing our wines! Steeped in history with a reputation for integrity, for us they are the perfect fit for Flint.”
Ben adds: “As a business which understands winemaking and is a huge supporter of premium wine from England, this partnership enables a smaller, boutique winery like ours to continue to strive to make the best product possible. I hope this will be a long relationship that helps us grow within the English wine industry.”
Wine buyer Katherine Dart MW adds: “I know I speak on behalf of the rest of the business when I say how delighted we are to be distributing Flint’s wines to the UK trade via FMV and bringing its wines to Berry Bros. & Rudd customers. Our customers are big supporters of home-grown wine and it is fabulous to extend our already excellent English wine offering to incorporate Flint’s wines from Norfolk.”
This latest news follows the recent announcement from Flint Vineyards of the launch of its Charmant Rosé.
FMV will be distributing still wines from Flint Vineyard. The following wines are available now:
- 2017 Flint Vineyard Bacchus (RRP. £16.95)
- 2017 Flint Vineyard Rosé (RRP. £15.95)
FMV (Fields, Morris & Verdin) is the trade arm of Berry Bros. & Rudd, Britain’s oldest wine and spirits merchant, importing and distributing wines and spirits across the UK.
