Fine + Rare, the international fine wine trader, has launched a website, which provides fine wine collectors the opportunity to purchase the 2010 En Primeurs (futures). These wines will be released over the next few months to be delivered usually two to three years after the vintage.
According to the company, the website enables collectors to manage a wish-list of wines they plan to buy using the wide variety of reviews and journalist reports available on the site.
As each wine comes onto the market customers will receive an email alert prompting them to buy the wine. Customers may also pre-order wines in advance of their release.
Availability ranges from first growths, including Lafite Rothschild, with unreleased price estimates from £10,500-£12,500, to fifth growths, with prices from £186-£1,365.
Fine+Rare claims to have launched the first European website dedicated to wine in 1996 and went on to develop its Wine Desk – a proprietary trading platform, which is constantly updating prices and availability on over 34,000 wines, which can be bought and sold through a team of 20 wine brokers based at its headquarters in London.
In 2010, the company executed over 17,000 transactions for its customers buying andselling over 50,000 cases of fine wines for customers all over the world.
