FINLANDIA vodka and Wieden+Kennedy London raise a special ‘Toast’ this festive season

FINLANDIA vodka is launching ‘Toasts’, a global TV, social and print campaign celebrating the shared moment of special toasts this Christmastime.

The festive season is a time when you travel home to see loved ones, and what you share with them matters more. FINLANDIA, a vodka less ordinary from a land less ordinary, is the perfect drink to bring to a special occasion with family and friends.

Created by Wieden+Kennedy London, the ‘Toasts’ campaign is the embodiment of this shared special occasion, when you want to make a special toast with a drink that’s worthy. The art direction is inspired by the symmetry and geometry of snowflakes and uses a unique mirror effect to give a fresh perspective on the precious festive toast moment.

The spot is directed by Silent Studios, aka Nathan Prince & Liam Paton, a multi-disciplined director and composer duo, whose collaborative approach ensure the sound design and music are baked in from the start. The film is produced and edited by Electric Theatre Collective.

The print work, which features an intricate mirror tunnel through a wintery Finnish landscape, is created entirely in CG by PICS, and reminds consumers that ‘What’s in the glass matters as much as why it’s raised’.

The 15” TVC, 20” social, print work and in-store POS are launching globally on November 20 across markets including Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Taking that thought, we developed a ‘kaleidoscycle’ approach with the directing team Silent, and created a sensory journey from the table to the visual landscapes and moody soundscapes of Finland. Not a jingle bell in sight.”
