Helen’s will be showcasing its wheat and gluten free products as part of the Taste Cork stand (J251) at the Food & Drink Expo in Birmingham (24-26 March 2014).
The products have been developed by Helen O’Dowd, a qualified nutritionist and food scientist, and are listed in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Ocado. The full range includes:
Helen’s Milled Linseed Blends:
Helen’s Linseed Crunch and Seeds for Cereals products combine the valuable properties of linseed with a blend of nutritious seeds including, sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and chia seeds. They also include freeze dried fruits and goji berries. Helen’s Linseed Crunch products are made without wheat and Helen’s Seeds for Cereals are both wheat and gluten free.
Helen’s Brilliant Bakery Mixes:
Helen’s wheat and gluten free baking mixes have been developed so consumers can easily make and enjoy delicious tasting, gluten free bread and cakes. Linseed is used in all the bread and scone mixes as getting enough daily fibre can be a challenge for those on a gluten free diet.
O’Dowd said: “We’re pleased to be attending the Food & Drink Expo this year; it’s a great chance for us to meet with new and existing customers and discuss our established retail products. It’s also an opportunity to explain how Helen’s products can help meet the growing needs and requirements of food service customers.”
All Helen’s foods are free from additives, artificial colouring and flavourings and can help to enhance and support a healthy balanced diet. The range includes the new Quick Seeded Bread Mix, which has already been shortlisted for a FreeFrom Food Award.
