Entries are now open for the IGD Awards 2015, the annual ceremony celebrating the innovation, passion and dedication displayed by the food and grocery industry over the last 12 months.
There are 14 categories to enter, from the IGD Outstanding Small Business Award to the IGD Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Previous winners and finalists have clearly demonstrated their valuable contribution to the industry, for example by nurturing the skills and talent of employees, investing in sustainability initiatives or developing new technology and store formats to tap into the changing needs of shoppers – amongst many other examples.
Joanne Denney-Finch, IGD chief executive, said: “Every day, I witness how food and grocery businesses are driving forward in the face of a challenging, fast-evolving environment. Hard work, commitment and innovation are at the very core of our industry, as demonstrated by new product development, first-class supply chains, inspirational shopping environments and outstanding people.
“Our industry’s passion and drive to succeed were on clear display at last year’s IGD Awards, which received the highest number of entries that we have ever had. Our previous finalists and winners have been celebrated for making an outstanding contribution to our industry, helping us to deliver a secure and sustainable future. If you want to showcase the contribution that you and your teams have made to our industry, then I encourage you to enter the IGD Awards today.”
The closing deadline for submitting entries is 29 May, with finalists announced in July and the winners revealed at a glittering ceremony in London on 6 October 2015. The winners will be selected by some of the industry’s top personnel, including representatives from IGD and across the supply chain.
The awards remain free to enter and this year, the application process has been made even simpler with an online entry form. To find out more and to submit your application before the closing date of 29 May, please visit: www.igd.com/awards
