Irish free-from snack company Proper Pops launches in the UK this month, with Sainsbury’s and Marigold Health Food the first stockists.

Proper Pops are a nutrient-rich popped chip snack, made from casein, a premium, slow-release protein derived from milk.

They are gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, 100% natural and available in three flavours – Lime, Lemongrass and Garlic; Lemon and Chilli; Paprika.

The Lime, Lemongrass and Garlic will be available in 131 Sainsbury’s stores across the UK from September 28th; all three variants will go on sale through London-based Marigold Heath Foods from Nov. RRP is £1.39.

Sheila Gilroy Collins, sales and marketing manager for Proper Pops, commented: “Proper Pops has been four years in development; the listings with Sainsbury’s and Marigold Health Foods are positive affirmation that there is currently an unmet need for a nutrient-dense, free-from snack.”

Proper Pops is part of the Carton Group.
