James Hall & Co, the Spar wholesaler for the North of England, reports it has seen phenomenal success in its Cream Cakes range, with £1.3m of retail sales in just one year since they were launched by Clayton Park.

To keep up the momentum of these great results, the wholesaler is reinvigorating the range with new launches, to keep it fresh and exciting for shoppers. Four new delicious sweet products will be available to retailers this month.

These are a twin pack Cream Crisp; a two-pack Victoria Sponge; a twin-pack variant of the existing Manchester Tart; and a limited edition Lemon Cream Bun to celebrate Easter.

Peter Dodding, James Hall & Co sales & marketing director, said: “Our foray into Cream Cakes has been a huge success, thanks to our Spar retailers and their incredible support.

“It’s important that we now keep up this momentum, and help our retailers grow their sales even further, with four new modern, fresh and quality products to add to the range,” he said.

All four products have a RSP of £1.50 and can be ordered via James Hall’s dedicated short life ordering system, which acts not only as a robust ordering system but also gives retailers access to information about the products they are stocking.

In 2014, James Hall & Co, announced huge success thanks to the opening of its new Clayton Park factory in Huncoat in March.

The newly-converted unit produced more than 80,000 packs of Cream Cakes in just 10 weeks, including 30,000 single Chocolate Éclairs – the equivalent of over 2.5 miles of éclairs.
