The leading soy sauce and teriyaki brand, Kikkoman is linking with Joseph Joseph, one of most popular names in kitchen utensils in an on-pack promotional giveaway. Kikkoman consumers will be required to log onto the brand’s website and enter a unique code for a chance to win one of 100 Joseph Joseph chopping boards. The promotion will be carried via a neck hanger on all Kikkoman product lines led by its 150ml dispenser and will appear across all major supermarkets. It is expected that the promotion will kick off in June 2019.
Discover the taste of Japan
In support of Ocado’s ‘Discover the Taste of Japan’ promotion in April, Kikkoman is giving away 5000 limited-edition soy dispenser bottles. The specially designed sleeve will appear on the iconic shaped 150ml bottle and will carry a design in keeping with the Japanese blossom theme. The new design includes vibrant coloured petals of purple and pink set against the black soy sauce background. Consumers purchasing any 500ml Kikkoman product or larger can apply for the limited-edition bottle. The promotion will go live on the Ocado site towards the end of April 2019.
Kikkoman UK general manager, Bing-yu Lee, said: “Our promotional plan this year focuses on greater frequency and spread of activity. Working with Joseph Joseph and supporting retailer initiatives such as Ocado’s Discover the Taste of Japan’ sits naturally within our plan. In addition we have a promotion currently underway with Bar-Be-Quick which supports our Teriyaki range as well as large scale quality sampling at big events including the summer and winter BBC Good Food Shows.”
