Lavazza, leading global, Italian coffee company, continues to support the best chefs all over the world; and this year it’s no different, with the introduction of critically acclaimed, celebrity chef, Monica Galetti, to Lavazza’s star-studded line-up of Top Gastronomy ambassadors. Galetti joins the likes of global ambassadors, Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana), Ferran Adrià (El Bulli fame), Michel Bras (Bras Restaurants) and UK ambassadors, multi-Michelin-starred chef, Jason Atherton (Pollen Street Social) and chef and television personality, Shaun Rankin (Ormer Mayfair); all who bring unique skills and creativity to the culinary world.

Revered around the world, Galetti is one of London’s leading chefs, becoming the first woman to work as Senior Sous-Chef in Michel Roux Jr’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Le Gavroche. Best-known for her role as judge on the BBC’s prime time cooking show, MasterChef: The Professionals, Galetti has become a household name on the British food scene. Her acclaimed restaurant, Mere, in central London, continues to be the ultimate foodie destination, thanks to a multitude of positive reviews.

Galetti will serve Lavazza coffee at her Fitzrovia based restaurant, Mere, as part of her three-year long partnership with Lavazza. She will be adopting the Lavazza Blue capsule system, which is an innovative process that ensures greater consistency in coffee service with each cup made to the highest standard for the most discerning of customers. Crafted with the highest quality beans, the Lavazza Blue range is designed to deliver outstandingly creamy and incredibly aromatic espresso coffee at high volumes.

Filippo Ferrari, marketing director of Lavazza UK & Ireland, says: “Lavazza’s collaboration with Monica Galetti is testament to our continued commitment to the Top Gastronomy industry, which began in 2001 and has continued to grow ever since. As one of the UK’s leading chefs, it is a privilege to welcome her into the Lavazza family.”

Galleti says: “Lavazza has long been associated with quality and great taste and is a brand I’ve favoured since the start of my career. I look forward to the year ahead and working with Lavazza as an official brand ambassador”.

Lavazza’s Top Gastronomy programme now features 65 of the UK’s very best restaurants and hotels with 9 Michelin-stars where Lavazza coffee can be enjoyed, including Texture and Seven Park Place.
