With a sunny bank holiday set to spur the nation to fire up their BBQs, Lidl is selling its award winning W/O Meat Vegan Burger Patties for only £1.99 for a pack of two.

The plant based vegan treats are made with pea wheat and soya, and are a hearty and succulent alternative to beef burgers that don’t compromise on taste. And it seems the experts agree!

In addition to winning Bronze at the FreeFrom Awards 2020, Lidl’s W/O Meat Vegan Burger Patties have just won the ‘Best Veggie Burger category of Good Housekeeping’s BBQ Taste Test, following a blind taste test where each burger has been judged based on its appearance, aroma, taste and texture.

Scoring a winning 84/100, Good Housekeeping’s taste testers were said to adore its ‘earthy mushroom and beetroot flavour’, as well as its ‘subtle spices’, and ‘thick, juicy bite’, perfect for the BBQ.

Available in store now, plant-based food lovers can pick up a packet of two for only £1.99, as part of their weekly shop.
