Benross – one of the UK’s largest suppliers of homewares and electrical goods – has expanded its popular Christmas lighting range with the launch of its battery-operated LED light range.
The new decorative lights are claimed to be an industry first – due to their battery-operated power function and timer setting capabilities. The product is also fitted with a fully waterproof IP44 transformer, meaning the lights can be displayed both internally and externally, and will be totally protected from the elements. Lights are sold in packs of 50, RRP £12.99, or 100, RRP £19.99. Lights are available in the traditional, white colour or multicoloured.
Amit Juneja, sales director at Benross, said: “The idea for these lights came about after we recognised a high-level of demand for a battery-operated, waterproof electrical item. Benross’ in-house product development team allows us to quickly respond to consumer demand, offering retailers the opportunity to stock an innovative range that stands out in a saturated seasonal lighting market.
“LED bulbs are the most energy efficient form of lighting available in today’s electrical market, giving Benross products long-lasting quality at a competitive price. Fixtures used for an average of eight hours per day can last up to 20 years before a bulb requires replacement.”
In addition to the new LED battery-powered range, Benross has launched a line of handcrafted, wooden lighting products. These items are available in a variety of styles such as the nativity scene, an advent calendar and candle bridges. Wooden lights range in price from £2.99 – £29.99.
Juneja said: “This year, wooden, rustic-looking products have been an extremely popular interiors trend – it was therefore important to react to this demand when creating our Christmas range.”
