METO, a division of Checkpoint Systems, has announced the launch of an anniversary edition of its NM hand-labelling tool.
To celebrate its 55th anniversary, the company – which invented the very first hand-labelling solution, the Jedermann, in 1959 – has introduced a commemorative version of the labeller for the retail industry. Used to print and dispense labels, the solutions play a vital role in helping retailers boost sales and increase revenues, METO claims.
The anniversary edition hand labeller benefits from all the key features which have made the NM series so successful – high quality, robustness and user-friendly handling, the company reports. Indeed, by ensuring that a label is dispensed, printed and attached onto an item in a clear and visible location, the tools also improve the consumer shopping experience, METO said.
Depending on the size of the device, the NM hand labellers are able to print and dispense labels with a specification of 26x12mm, 29x20mm or 29x28mm. Depending on the application, these are available in different colours and rubber linings. Product, pricing and sales information can also be communicated via these labels as they can be designed with an individual pre-print.
“Similarly to all of our premium edition tools, the NM series is ‘made in Germany’ in our factory in Hirschhorn,” said Erik Cardinaal, vice president and general manager of the METO division at Checkpoint Systems.
“Fifty five years after the invention of the first hand labeller, product labelling has not gone out of fashion. Especially when it comes to seasonal and special promotions, labelling can help retailers to boost sales and increase revenues.”
As part of the anniversary campaign the NM is available until 30 September 2014 as a single unit or as a kit with labels.
