Following the successful Christmas and Valentine’s collaborations with leading online health food retailer, Musclefood, Montrose Chocolate is pleased to confirm an official partnership with the brand and its Benefit Chocolate range of products to cover listings as well as white label product development.

Last year Musclefood approached Montrose Chocolate to help produce a protein chocolate advent calendar using Benefit’s unique recipe which is made from 85% cacao chocolate enriched with almond butter, coconut and pea protein. Which means it contains twice as much protein per 100g than other dark chocolate products.

With the calendars proving a hit with chocolate loving fitness fans, Musclefood signed Benefit Chocolate bars up for a listing in both 40g and 80g bars. Following the success of the Merry Fitmas Advent Calendar, Musclefood approached Montrose Chocolate to produce its Valentines chocolate gifting product, a love heart protein chocolate lolly that went down very well with fitness influencers. Further product development is in the pipeline with further collaborations being discussed.

Gavin Cox of Montrose Chocolate commented: “We are delighted to be forging our partnership with Musclefood. The beauty of Montrose Chocolate is that it can produce really high quality farm to bar chocolate on a large scale at its Stoke factory. The chocolate is made in Britain using cacao that we buy directly from Casa Luker farms in Colombia so we are able to guarantee a really short supply chain and the highest ethical standards including no child labour guaranteed. These credentials are important to our customers. And the chocolate is made from the finest grade “Fino de Aroma” cacao beans in the world; a category established by the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) for cacao that reaches a certain flavour, aroma, and quality level.”
