Nespresso, the pioneer in high quality premium portioned coffee, has today announced plans to open four new Nespresso boutiques across the UK by December 2016, with four additional boutiques in the pipeline. The retail expansion forms part of the brand’s vision to provide increased access to its high-quality coffee in the UK, with the ambition of opening boutiques across the country so that every British customer is no more than an hour’s drive away from a boutique.
Francisco Nogueira, Nespresso UK & Ireland managing director, said: “We’re thrilled to be expanding our retail offering. Over the past few years we have seen fantastic growth across the UK and we receive almost daily requests for more boutiques to open. Through these four new boutiques we will be able to reach many customers, particularly in new areas of the country such as Leeds and Bristol where we haven’t previously had a presence. Our growth in the UK over the past few years has been phenomenal, with four new boutiques opening in 2015 and eight new boutique openings planned for this year, we are quickly developing our portfolio across the country.”
Each retail location has been chosen specifically in response to the increasing appetite for quality coffee in the area, with a particular focus on locations outside of central London, where Nespresso is quickly growing in popularity. As part of its retail expansion, Nespresso will open new boutiques in Bristol, Leeds, Sheffield and London. The new boutiques will give customers the chance to enjoy the full Grand Cru range, while providing an immersive and personalised experience through the exciting Nespresso boutique concept.
“Our boutiques go beyond a traditional retail store, providing our customers with a unique opportunity to taste our Grands Crus and learn more about the coffees and their own preferences. Our focus as a business is about creating a complete experience for our customers, from the expertise they receive in our boutiques to our 24/7 customer care service, nothing is left to chance. These new boutiques have been especially developed to suit the desires of the modern coffee drinker, with tasting bars, Coffee Specialists on hand and the latest in retail technology to provide a smooth customer experience,” continues Francisco.
The boutique expansion follows the successful launch of Café Nespresso in Cheapside in London in June 2016. The first of its kind in the UK, this pilot café combines the high-quality Nespresso Grand Cru range with especially created food provided by Nespresso partner DO&CO. Café Nespresso also features the UK’s first Nespresso Cube. The Nespresso
Cube, which has been successfully launched in seven other countries, is an automated self-service boutique, where customers will be able to buy the range of 24 Nespresso Grands.
Crus and Limited Edition coffees. The innovative machine prepares personalised multi-product orders in minutes, thanks to a robotised order-picking system.
