New technology increases product range and profits, claims SaaS provider Mirakl

A new marketplace technology has launched in the UK today that allows retailers to host transactions between buyers and sellers of products, dramatically increasing their product range and introducing a profitable new sales channel.

Already working with some of Europe’s biggest retailers, Mirakl has dramatically boosted online profits and product range for French online retailer Fnac.com and MedicAnimal.com will the first UK-based retailer to work with Mirakl from its new UK office.

The European online retailer of pet accessories and veterinary supplies will expand its product range by including a large number of additional sellers, whilst at the same time guaranteeing a secure and high-quality customer experience in keeping with the rest of the site.

Mirakl can scale the marketplace to whatever size is required and the platform integrates seamlessly with a retailer’s existing systems.

Launched in 2011 by Philippe Corrot and Adrien Nussenbaum, French technology start-up Mirakl secured €2.5M in funding in 2012 and already works with some of Europe’s top retailers, including Groupe Auchan and high-end department store Galeries Lafayette.

Online retailer Fnac.com has seen spectacular results since implementing Mirakl’s marketplace. Marketplace now accounts for 25% of all online business, has drastically boosted online profits and increased the product range from 600,000 products to 15 million, with no inventory and logistics investment.
