Pet food brand, Vet’s Kitchen, has launched its first line of wet food for dogs to complement its already successful dry food range.
Formulated by Vet’s Kitchen’s team of vets, veterinary nurses and nutritional advisors, alongside the latest research, the new range not only tastes great but has also been designed to promote the long-term health and wellbeing of adult dogs.
The first two products in the range comprise two super premium, super tasty varieties – grain-free Lamb with Sweet Potato and Chicken with Wholegrain Rice, both complemented by delicious garden vegetables. Offering complete food so dogs get all the nutrients they need, both dinners include 60% fresh meat content, using freshly prepared ingredients in perfectly balanced proportions of protein, carbs, fats and fibre. The chicken meal offers a lighter option, with 35% less fat.
Fiona Firth, animal nutritional advisor at Vet’s Kitchen, comments: “We’re really passionate about pet health, which is why we’ve consulted extensively with our team of vets to ensure the best formulation possible for our new range.
“We chose nutritious cuts of chicken and lamb as the primary ingredients for the meals as they are both highly digestible sources of protein. We complemented this with a selection of vegetables packed full of vitamins, natural antioxidants and balanced fibre. We then added natural prebiotics, including chicory and brewer’s yeast, to aid digestion, and glucosamine and chondroitin to promote healthy joints. Both varieties are hypoallergenic, formulated without soya, wheat or dairy, which are all known allergy triggers. The lamb meal is also both gluten and grain free.
“Each meal is slow cooked to perfection for optimal taste – something our pack hero, Welsh terrier George, can attest to as he taste-tested the food live at Crufts this year!”
All Vet’s Kitchen products are, wherever possible, made using local, sustainable, and high quality ingredients, and manufactured and packed in the UK. The new Vet’s Kitchen wet food meals are available in 395g trays. RRP is £2.19.
