Legend, the organisation behind RBTE and Essential Retail, has announced it is launching an educational and personalised business meetings event, Retail Business Exchange.
On 12-13 November 2014 at the Runnymede on Thames Hotel, a limited number of handpicked and exclusively invited retailers will come to network and get off the treadmill in an event designed to inspire and invigorate.
As well as numerous networking opportunities with fellow senior retailers, there will be an education programme featuring leading retail CEO’s, (invited by Legend board member Stephen Robertson).
The opening keynote presentation will be delivered by Sir Geoff Mulcahy, who spent 20 years as CEO of Kingfisher. This keynote presentation from such a respected retailer will set the tone for an inspirational and thought provoking event, the organisers claims. The closing keynote will be from Jacqueline Gold, chief executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox who will round the event off with a talk about leadership and what to look for in aspiring retail leaders.
In addition to the conference programme, there will be practical workshops, business matching with carefully selected solution providers, great entertainment and hospitality, providing the ultimate retail retreat, Legend said.
John Bednall, CEO, Legend, said: “Retail Business Exchange will be an intensive and inspiring 24 hours. This dynamic new event will deliver new business contacts, reveal best practise techniques, provide delegates with the tools and information to make strategic decisions, combined with extensive networking opportunities, all in an exceptional venue which will provide the ultimate retail retreat where attendees can network and learn in a calm environment away from everyday distractions.”
All delegates will have their own tailored itinerary designed to ensure maximum efficiency of time and investment, which will include one-to-one meetings with vendors of their choice, Legend reports.
Legend, the organiser of Retail Business Exchange, runs the RBTE event and the newly launched Retail Design Expo plus the online news resources Essential Retail and Retail Design World.
Bednall said: “Our bespoke appointment system has been specifically programmed for this forum to ensure maximum efficiency of time and investment for all attendees. As a credible and respected company with a proven track record in the retail industry, the largest retail database and extensive connections (we only operate in retail), the conference programme will be stunning – the most inspirational, intelligent, relevant and prestigious – the best by far.”
