Exclusive: Retail Times teams up with my Supermarket to show who’s Top of the Shops in online grocery and health & beauty sales
Retail Times has teamed up with the online shopping site, mySupermarket, to showcase the top selling grocery and health & beauty lines at the leading online grocers and pharmacy chains in a weekly league table.
The new and exclusive Top of the Shops ranking will feature the 50 top selling grocery lines (by volume) at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and Ocado through mySupermarket.
It will also showcase the top 20 selling health & beauty lines (by volume) at the same five online grocers plus Boots and Superdrug through mySupermarket.
As well as revealing which brands and retailer own labels make it into shoppers’ online baskets, the Top of the Shops league will highlight the price of each item and any weekly price increase or decrease.
MySupermarket receives 3.5 million visits to its site each month.
Each week, Retail Times will provide a snapshot of the trends at each retailer.
This will include a focus on the retailer own brands, which are included in the basket; the top brands, which are bought by consumers online; the popular product categories bought each week online plus a look at significant price fluctuations on items bought online.
Retail Times editor, Fiona Briggs, said: “We are delighted to be working with mySupermarket in a unique partnership, which showcases the top selling grocery and health & beauty products online, each week. Consumers are increasingly shopping online and our Top of the Shops ranking will highlight the most popular items in shoppers’ online baskets. It will also lift the lid on retailer own label sales and those brands, which shoppers select in their online baskets; the most popular categories; as well as highlight retailer promotions.
“Top of the Shops will be a must-read feature on Retail Times each week.”
