Shopping site, mySupermarket, has launched an app, which it claims offers all the benefits of its site and will pop up when a shopper is on another retailer’s website to let them know when they could swap-and-save to a cheaper like-for-like basket.

Free to download onto a PC, the Companion App will help shoppers save at least 20% on their shop, mySupermarket claims.

Whether shopping online at Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Ocado or Asda, mySupermarket’s Companion App will show shoppers how much they can save by using its swap and save suggestions; and will also showcase other money saving options, including cashback offers, two for one deals, vouchers and the newly launched Savvy Buys, which lets you know when a product is a least 30% cheaper than it’s been all year.

James Foord, VP of business development at mySupermarket, said: “As an independent shopping site, it’s our mission to continually create innovative new ways, to help shoppers get price transparency across all the major stores and never overpay again. Our Companion app is like having mySupermarket constantly looking out for you. Watching your back. Your reliable friend. And we have so many ways to help customers save now that it can make a difference to anyone.”
