The One4all Spotlight Awards recognises the best employees across a number of different categories, including Employee of the Year awards specifically for different industries – with retail, health and social care, automotive and not for profit being just some of the sectors recognised.

Kath Pearson, a senior business travel consultant at Click Travel in Tamworth, Staffordshire beat 9 other category winners to be crowned the overall Employee of the Year, and also took home the Professional Services Award.

Other winners included staff at the Carphone Warehouse, Welsh Air Ambulance Charitable Trust and Deben Group Industries – all of whom will also receive a trophy and a £100 One4all Gift Card.

Pearson said: ” I have been a senior business travel consultant with Click Travel for nearly two years now and I feel very proud to have not only been awarded the Professional Services Award but to also win the overall Employee of the Year Award. I can’t believe it! I’m thrilled!

“Working in the business travel industry requires a high level of attention to detail, to ensure that even the most challenging travel requirements from the most complex customers are delivered on time. More recently, I have been most proud of my role assisting with training and sharing my trade knowledge with newcomers – to pass on the knowledge and experience I have to others to help in their careers make me very happy.

“Winning this award has really given me a boost, knowing many are appreciative and hold my hard work in high regard. I am so grateful for this acknowledgement.”

The judges felt Kath was an exemplary employee who supports colleagues and customers, going above and beyond to ensure travel requirements are delivered in a timely fashion to make what can be quite a stressful process, much easier.

Kath will receive a trophy for her win plus £400 in One4all Gift Cards, which can be spent in more than 50,000 stores nationwide.

Alan Smith, UK Managing Director at One4all Rewards said: “The high standard and number of nominations we received this year was just outstanding. Giving hard-working and committed employees of small and medium sized businesses the recognition they deserve is exactly what we work with UK businesses to do every day, and why we launched the Spotlight Awards and have continued running it for a third year.

“The judges had a hard time selecting the overall Employee of the Year as the nominations were of such a high level, and there were many strong individuals in the running.”

Smith continues: “In the end, Kath stood out to the panel. Clearly a super valued member of staff at Click Travel, there were testimonials from her superiors, peers and customers all singing her praises. She is a very deserving winner of both the Professional Services Award and the ultimate accolade, the Employee of the Year Award.”
