Popular Italian restaurant group, Spaghetti House, today announced a new partnership with Eagle Eye Solutions, the leading SaaS technology company. The partnership sees Spaghetti House roll-out its first digital validation across all promotional campaigns through Eagle Eye AIR.

Spaghetti House can now easily track the success of a promotional campaign from end to end. Through the Eagle Eye AIR platform and its integration into the Comtrex till, the restaurant can apply a code to their paper coupons which can then be digitally validated and redeemed in real time by tracking coupon redemption in real-time, Spaghetti House has access to a wealth of data including redemption location and retention. With this insight it’s possible for the restaurant to adapt its strategy to maximise success, for example boosting efforts for branches where footfall is low.

The platform also overcomes pain points associated with traditional paper-based coupon campaigns including delays and redemption validity. With the processing of paper coupons taking between six weeks and three months, it is difficult for retailers and casual dining businesses to assess the success of a campaign and prevent overspend. Meanwhile, digital validation at till offers the benefit of eliminating voucher fraud and mal-redemption which accounts for an estimated 20% of all paper-based voucher redemptions.

Isabel Montes De Oca at Spaghetti House said: “Our customers have been the focus of our business since Spaghetti House first opened its doors 60 years ago. We acknowledge that it’s easier and more convenient for our customers today, to redeem coupons using their smartphone and this first step in enabling digital redemption at the till brings us closer to realising a more convenient consumer journey.”

Clive Keywood, sales manager at Comtrex, said: “We are extremely proud to have Spaghetti House as part of the Comtrex family. When we first met with Spaghetti House they wanted to streamline their stock control and payment processes and also improve their customer’s experience. With our flexible system we were able to work with them to develop, write and tailor a system to their needs. It’s great to know Comtrex have helped them to achieve their goal, and now with  the Eagle Eye integration we can help Spaghetti House continue to grow through more targeted communications with their customers.”

“Going digital is ultimately the way forward for promotion campaigns,” says Al Henderson, director of food and beverage at Eagle Eye. “Traditionally, campaigns can be blighted by financial risk, uncertainty and redemption legitimacy. By going digital, businesses can help alleviate potential threats to their bottom line as well as gather real-time data to drive frequency.”
