Pentland Brands, the name behind some of the world’s best sports, outdoor and fashion brands, has been named as one of the UK’s top 10 Best Workplaces 2014 – ‘Best Large Company’ category – by the Great Place to Work Institute (GPTW).
Pentland is ranked higher than any other retailer, brand owner or marketing company and is the only sports, outdoor or fashion brand-owner to make the 2014 list.
Best Workplaces 2014 is selected based on an independent GPTW employee survey and a thorough analysis of all aspects of organisational culture. Pentland’s 2,000 employees participated in the global survey; with 84% saying it’s a ‘great place to work’ and 81% citing a sense of community and pride in working for Pentland. In the survey, the word ‘family’ was used many times by people describing what makes Pentland a special and unique place to work.
Andy Rubin, CEO, Pentland Brands says: “As a family-owned company, values are at the heart of everything we do. We are always seeking to find the most talented and motived people, who share our values, to join our business, so being recognised as a Best Workplace helps show potential employees how much we have to offer them throughout their career development with us.
“We feel fortunate to have so many talented people working here. Each and every one of them is responsible for fostering our unique culture, so being recognised as a Best Workplace means a great deal to everyone at Pentland.
“There are real business benefits to creating a great working culture and at Pentland we have a culture where individuals trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.”
