Subway: new EPoS-based management tools

Sandwich chain Subway has announced a global partnership with UK-based IT solutions developer, PXtech. The deal will see new management tools delivered to 35,000 Subway stores worldwide.

According to to PXtech, the implementation of its PXportal system technology will provide Subway franchisees with online access to real-time data from their point-of-sale systems across multiple stores.

Thys Van Hout, chief technology officer at Subway, said: “We’re delighted to be working with PXtech – the implementation of PXtech’s system is the ideal addition to our exciting and fast-moving technology programme and provides excellent tools for helping our restaurant owners to manage their business.”

PXtech said it creates tailored programmes to provide organisations with a clear, accurate and real time view of business performance. The company already operates across a wide European client base in the hospitality, retail, education and local authority sectors.

This latest deal with Subway restaurants will see PXtech’s products reaching a new worldwide audience in addition to maintaining its continuing, fast-paced growth in both the European and North American markets.
