New small batch gin brand, Heart of Suffolk Distillery, is looking to push its range of hand-crafted gins across the country in a bid to grow its presence in pubs, bars and retail outlets.
Heart of Suffolk Distillery produces three London Dry Gins, its signature gin, Betty’s; Rosie’s Gin, a fruity summer gin that’s distilled with rose petals and Ivy’s Gin, a wintery gin distilled with clove and cranberry. All three gins are produced in its purpose-built distillery in Suffolk.
Heart of Suffolk launched in early 2018 but up until now has focussed its attention on creating the right look and feel for the brand and gaining local customers. However, it is now ready to push out further afield. “The gin market is incredibly competitive, but we feel we have something really special so now’s the time to up the ante and reach new markets. We want to see our brand in more pubs, bars and shops both locally and across the country,” explains Karen Luke, who runs Heart of Suffolk Distillery with her husband Martyn.
Aside from being located in the very heart of Suffolk, the brand also uses local neutral grain spirit from Witham in Essex, sources its bottles from Hadleigh and its labels from Bury St Edmunds. “We’ve done our best to create a local gin that has real provenance,” continues Karen. “With our distillery open for tasting events and our shop open to the public, we are able to create a real story around our gin, which makes it very popular with bars and shops looking to stock something with a great back story.”
Betty’s Gin, Ivy’s Gin and Rosie’s Gin is available in 70cl bottles. The price for pubs and restaurants is £27+vat and for shops £25.35+vat. Its 20cl bottle is £10+vat. For more information on Heart of Suffolk Distillery visit www.heartofsuffolkdistillery.co.uk
