Creating nourishing food with organic ingredients has always been the Tideford way, making delicious homemade-style soups and sauces in its Devon kitchen since 1996. In September 2016, Tideford Organics’ love affair with vegetables took on a new level, relaunching as the first dedicated organic vegan gluten-free brand in the UK.
Tideford sales has reaped the rewards: whilst the total chilled soup category is in slight decline at -0.6%, Tideford’s soup sales are up +40% YOY (IRI sales data, 6 January 2018) and sales for the Tideford brand as a whole are in double digit growth.
This June, Tideford’s organic, vegan and gluten-free range will be available nationally with new listings in Waitrose and Tesco. A key part of Waitrose’s Vegan Refresh and Free From range, Tideford will launch a range of 6 products in circa 250 Waitrose stores on 4 June.
On 23 May, Tideford will also launch in 60 Tesco Express London stores with its award-winning Red Lentil, Apricot + Chilli Soup (600g), bringing their range to an even greater number of younger foodie consumers who are health and environmentally conscious, but time poor.
On the NPD front, Tideford has developed the first organic, vegan and gluten-free fresh curry sauces in the UK. These three new recipes are exclusive to Ocado and launch on 4 June.
The Vegan Coconut Korma is a fresh, mild combination of tomatoes, green lentils and creamed coconut, with a gentle heat from chilli, garlic and ginger. Tideford has also developed a vegan version of Britain’s favourite sauce – its Tikka Masala is gently spiced with a moreish balance of chilli, paprika, coriander, and a dash of indulgent creamed coconut. Or if you’re looking for something with a little more punch try the Vegan Rogan Josh, with red lentils, chilli, coriander and cumin.
Like everything in the Tideford Organics range, these sauces are organic, vegan + gluten-free, made in small batches in their Devon kitchen.
