Turtle Wax, the world’s leading brand in car care products, has teamed up with Joanna Lumley to launch its first UK advert in four years.
Focusing on Turtle Wax’s Color Magic Scratch Remover range, the advert features a voiceover from Joanna Lumley, reminding viewers that Turtle Wax has the solution for all of life’s little ‘car care mishaps’.
The advert demonstrates how the colour enhancing stick can counteract the unavoidable wear and tear caused by everyday car use – such as scratches incurred during family outings or high heels on body work.
Speaking about the new advert, sales director EMEA, Mark Siddle, said: “We know that using our cars on a daily basis is going to result in scuffs and scratches to the body work, which can cause unnecessary stress for our ‘time poor’ car owners. The creative behind the advert highlights how Color Magic can remove these marks quickly, with a minimum amount of fuss, giving our motorists time to focus on more important things.”
Turtle Wax chose to work with Joanna Lumley as she has one of the most recognisable voices in the UK as well as being a trusted and well respected personality – attributes that are keeping with the brand’s key messages.
Siddle said: “Launching the TV campaign is the next step in our plans to increase our presence in the UK car care marketplace. We have made a number of changes to our growth strategy this year and we look forward to hearing our customers’ feedback.”
The advert launched on 2 May 2014 and ran throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend. It will once again air from 22-26 May, on channels including BT Sport 1 & 2, Dave, Home, E4, UK Gold, ESPN, F4, Real and Food.
