Supercharged superfoods brand, Bioglan Superfoods has been across the pond and taken inspiration from the trends in the US to launch two new products to the UK market.  Super Protein and Beauty Protein will launch into Holland & Barrett from July, with RRP of £12.99 for 100g.

Currently the offering for vegan collagen supplements is extremely limited, and most collagen supplements are sourced from marine (fish) or bovine (cow) origins. The Beauty Protein taps nicely into the rise of veganism in the UK and the rise in collagen boosting products. Globally the beauty supplements market is set to grow to 6.8 billion dollars by 2024 [1]as consumers seek to delay the ageing process and the quest for staying youthful and beautiful.

The Beauty Protein contains a whole host of beauty collagen peptide amino acids, including the likes of; L-Glycine, Alaine and Proline (amino acids which mimic the profile of animal -based collagen) plus, beauty enhancing minerals, Biotin (for strong and healthy hair, skin and nails) and Hyaluronic acid (to help retain collagen and increase skin moisture and elasticity) with some added vitamin C, which has been proven to support collagen formation.

The Super Protein taps into the trend for mindfulness and contains a host of adaptogens, which are herbs, mushrooms and roots proven to help the body adapt, adjust and recalibrate itself depending on emotional and physical surroundings. Research shows that in the past year over 74% of people have felt so stressed they have felt overwhelmed and unable to cope[2]. With the surge of apps for mindfulness and meditation to aide this, there has never been a better time for a product to launch to help give everyone a daily dose of energy and balance.

Made with a rice and pea protein, to give a varied amino acid profile (making it great for vegetarians and vegans alike) and a whole host of adaptogens including; Maca, Ginseng, Ashwagandha and Schisandra to stabilize the body’s processes through supporting stamina, energy and mental performance, all whilst reducing stress and with added Vitamin C .

Lauren McPherson, brand manager at Bioglan Superfoods, says: “Recently the company spent time in the United States, and it got us thinking about what was lacking in terms of superfoods in the UK market. We saw that there was a huge gap in the collagen sector for an effective vegan product that would work as a beauty elixir and that consumers were much more aware of mental wellness than ever before. This led us to creating two new products, the Beauty Protein and Super Protein that would be a solution to both these issues.”

Bioglan Superfoods Beauty Protein and Super Protein are easy to use and highly versatile, they can be added to a smoothie, a recipe or sprinkled on breakfast to get a daily dose of goodness.
