Weetos unveils new on-pack promotion to support brand growth

Weetos, the delicious wholegrain chocolate hoops cereal from the Weetabix Food Company, is launching a new on-pack promotion this summer as part of its strategy to put excitement back into the brand and boost sales.

Launching from June 2020, the on-pack promotion offers nine consumers the chance to win £500 to spend towards sports kit and equipment.

To enter, consumers need to send in a photo of their Weetos pack or bowl as part of a unique, sporting environment, whether that’s a basketball hoop made out of the box or Weetos pack goal posts.

A £12m brand and the fourth biggest product in the chocolate cereal category,

Weetos is currently in +13% value growth. Weetos are made from wholegrain wheat with vitamin D for strength, iron for alertness and vitamin B12 to help release energy.

Abbie Randall, marketing assistant, Weetos, said: “We’re really excited to bring this promotion to retailers. The on-pack campaign will stand out on shelf, helping to raise awareness of the Weetos brand and increase visibility and sales in-store.

“We know that our core audience of 5-15-year olds love playing sport so we wanted to help promote this via our on-pack giveaway and we’re confident that this campaign will increase brand engagement and appetite for the product, as well as being a great activity to get involved with when at home. Whilst it may not be the summer of sport everyone had hoped for, we still wanted to provide the opportunity to help people of all ages stay active and be in with the chance to win a head to toe sports kit.”

The on-pack promotion will be available across 500g and 350g PMP (£2.49) Weetos packs and will run in stores from June to August.
