Fresh to the soup scene, Re:Nourish has announced a game-changing launch which will see the first significant innovation in the prepared soup category for decades. Answering the needs of time-poor but health conscious consumers, Re:Nourish’s four-strong range of soups is filled with purpose and comes in a unique ready-to-go format, which allows the product to be heated and drunk straight from the bottle. Adding to its consumer appeal is the wholesome ingredients list: the soups are entirely plant-based and are gluten, sugar and dairy-free, with added super ingredients – such as passion flower, maca, turmeric and ginger – to provide additional health benefits.
Founder and CEO Nicci Clark, who has a background in cardiac nursing and nutrition, has been mentored by John Stapleton, co-founder of New Covent Garden Soup Co. Re:Nourish evolved out of Clark’s company Nourished, which was founded in 2010 and was one of the first fresh food delivery companies. Her fresh soup was the stand-out star of Nourished, which set in motion the idea to launch a prepared soup with added convenience.
She said: “We see soups as the new juices in delivering a flavour-filled experience that is both delicious and healthy. Until now, soups haven’t been the most convenient food as they have to be heated and then decanted; our revolutionary patented packaging changes the status quo as soups can now be heated and either enjoyed straight away, or resealed and transported to eat on the go.”
The brand’s custom-moulded, transparent bottles create a strong impression on-shelf with the soups clearly visible to emphasise their natural properties. Clark says: “We are clear in our bottle and in our look. That’s what we’re all about – we have absolutely nothing to hide.”
Re:Nourish soups have an RRP of £2.80/500g and are available from Planet Organic and independent shops. The four soups in the range include: Digest – roasted carrot and ginger; Immunity – kale, spinach and turmeric; Power & Love – spicy lentil, red pepper and maca; and Calm – tomato, basil and passion flower.
