British brand, Childs Farm, today announces the appointment of Andrew Rayner as the new Head of Sales for its award-winning skin and hair care brand for newborns and children. The appointment sees the company expand its senior team as it continues to build upon its domestic and international growth plan.

Rayner, who will report directly to Childs Farm founder Joanna Jensen, previously worked for eight  years at Procter & Gamble, serving two years as senior national account manager. Throughout his extensive career in sales, he has worked across a diverse range of accounts that include major UK household brands: Fairy, Ariel, Febreze, Head & Shoulders. His new appointment drives forward the company’s ambitions of increasing its retailer portfolio across the UK, as well as its long term plans for international expansion.

Childs Farm uses natural, ‘free-from’ ingredients and essential oils to produce toiletries that care for the skin and hair of newborns and children. All products work hard to clean thoroughly and moisturise deeply, but are also extensively tested and trialled to ensure they’re mild, kind and safe for newborns and upwards — even those with sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

Rayner said: “Childs Farm makes amazing products, it is an incredible brand and receives wonderful feedback from parents looking for natural and affordable toiletries for sensitive skin. It is clear that the business has huge potential for continued growth. I am really excited to bring my commercial experience to the team to get these great products into the bathrooms of families across the UK. Personally, nothing compares to the passion and excitement that a small business like Childs Farm has for its work”.

Jensen said: “Andrew’s appointment is a testament to the brand’s commitment to ensure our products are accessible to consumers across the UK and eventually internationally. His experience and ethos are a natural fit with our business. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team, and feel confident he will continue to build upon our current success.”

Childs Farm is stocked in major UK retailers and pharmacies throughout the UK including John Lewis, Waitrose and Boots. For a full range of stockists please visit: www.childsfarm.com
