Aberdeen based distillery, Porter’s Gin, expands into the Spanish market this summer. Porter’s Gin’s full range; Modern Classic, Orchard and Tropical Old Tom will be distributed through, Beverage Hunters and will be available within both the on and off-trade.
Spain marks the 15th export market for Porter’s, which has already enjoyed success in its ultra-competitive category since its launch, distributing to several international territories including France, United States, Singapore, South Korea and Japan.
With a passion for creating better drinks, founders Alex Lawrence, Ben Iravani and Josh Rennie turned the basement of their bar in Aberdeen, Scotland, into one of the UK’s most innovative micro-distilleries. Since then, Porter’s has established itself as the gin of choice amongst bartenders in some of the world’s leading cocktail bars. Cold-distilled for a light and natural flavour, the team uses low-temperature distillation, enabling them to extract the flavours of delicate botanicals such as pink peppercorn and Buddha’s Hand citrus. The resulting gins have a refined, natural and fresh flavour profile, making them perfect for long drinks, aperitifs and highballs.
As part of its launch into Spain, Porter’s Tropical Old Tom will also feature on the 2021 menu at Barcelona based cocktail bar Two Schmucks, which has been awarded No.26 in the World’s 50 Best Bars list.
Iravani commented: “This is another exciting step in the growth of Porter’s. Spain is one of the biggest global markets for gin and an important territory within Europe. We’re looking forward to working with some of the finest cocktail bars in the world and the start of a fruitful long-term partnership with Beverage Hunters.”
A spokesperson at Beverage Hunters added: “It’s a privilege to be adding Porter’s Gin to our portfolio of premium brands. We’re confident that our customers will be proud to stock such a prestigious brand.”
