Two AF Blakemore Fresh Foods Directors have taken the plunge for the third year running and completed a two way swim of the English Channel in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
The six man relay team, known as Pips Channel Swim Team made up of Bob Cash and Richard Brownjohn completed the gruelling 60 mile round swim in 20 hours and 40 minutes.
The team trained solidly for nine months in preparation for the swim, in memory of Philippa Thomas (Pips Channel Swim Team) who sadly passed away in October 2012 after a two year fight against breast cancer.
The team completed the swim at 10.45pm on 15th July raising more than £3,700 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Of all the two way relay teams in the world, Pips Channel Team was third fastest all English team and 22nd fastest in the world.
