Aldi’s 2019 Christmas menu is a carefully curated selection of the finest produce, including everything from the finest Specially Selected Scottish Gin Smoked Salmon, the perfect Christmas day starter, to the showstopping Specially Selected Exquisite Chocolate Bauble, made with glass cut technology.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Aldi opening its first store in Scotland and the 10th anniversary of the creation of its dedicated Scottish Buying Department, and Scotland’s larder features prominently in the retailer’s UK-wide Christmas collection. Highlights include Specially Selected Scottish Salmon Loin Fillet, Specially Selected Exquisite Rope Hung 14 Hour Scottish Smoked Salmon, and Glen Marnoch 25-Year-Old Single Malt Whisky.

As well as the UK-wide Christmas range, Aldi stores in Scotland will stock a selection of locally sourced festive treats, including a delectable Scottish Pork and Porchetta Joint from Tulip Ltd, Haggis Bon Bons and Black Pudding Bon Bons from Perthshire-based Simon Howie, Blood Orange and Cranberry Gin from Callander based McQueen, and 12 Gins of Christmas from St Andrew’s based Eden Mill.

Graham Nicolson, group buying director, Aldi Scotland, said: “In Scotland we’re lucky to be blessed with an abundance of quality produce and we’ve been working closely with suppliers across the country to develop new products we know our Scottish customers will enjoy. Our UK-wide Christmas collection complements this range perfectly and I’m confident that whatever you want this festive season, you’ll be able to find it at your local Aldi store.”

Aldi’s range of vegetarian and vegan attractions include Specially Selected Nut Roasts; Root Vegetables with French Camembert or Broccoli and Cauliflower with Cheddar Cheese. Other favourites include an impressive Specially Selected Vegan Wreath Centrepiece and Specially Selected Vegan Stuffing Balls.
